David Hunt was educated in London and California. studying at Brunel University and San Francisco State respectively. In 2002, David graduated in Product Design & developed the RISE Alarm Clock that went on to be reported around the globe and exhibited at the London Science Museum. His time in California included the dot-com bubble, when he worked as an intern at a San Francisco technology start-up, experiencing the excitement and energy of Silicon Valley.
Following graduation, David returned back across the Atlantic to spend a year working and living in Vancouver. Working as a freelance web developer, David spent invaluable time with the leading multimedia agencies in the area, and more broadly the world.
David was sponsored throughout his education by Creative Lynx, now HAVAS LYNX. This early association shaped his respect for good design and the absolute value of engaging ideas. Combined with the appetite for innovation, he witnessed in both San Francisco & Vancouver, and his education in user experience & product design, David’s approach to digital marketing were forged. These principles became the philosophy on which David established the LYNX international, multi-award winning digital studio, and led to his involvement in shaping the international digital policy of key clients including Janssen, AstraZeneca and GSK.
David’s energy, insight and vision, resulted in his promotion to the Senior Management team at the age of twenty-five. Three years later David would become a key member of the LYNX management buyout, and recognised as the Northwest’s Young Professional of the Year. Following the sustained success & growth of the agency, the team completed a merger and acquisition with Havas, one of the largest global communications groups. As a result of the unprecedented digital growth of the past few years, LYNX is now a leading Global Healthcare Communications Group, and David was appointed European CEO in June of 2013.
David is a recognised international figure within Healthcare Digital Marketing having launched a series of industry firsts, including:
- Psoriasis360, the first true social media campaign in healthcare
- The PASI app, which has had 60,000+ downloads
- The first iPad eDetail aid in healthcare in China, Germany & the US
In addition, he has led LYNX to collect 20+ wins at the PM Digital Awards, in 4 years since the events inception, and has spoken at a number of global congress.
